Raising Chickens in Texas

I am so sorry for your loss.
Alright if I was an idiot go ahead and say it. I can take it. :D I say that because we bought our first four chickens from a guy selling them in front of our local Dollar General - I wasn't born in Texas but I swear you can't throw a stone without hitting a Dollar General store. Two typical white chickens and two brown ones. The brown ones on hindsight may have been a little poorly because he gave us a 'discount' on the brown ones. I think the one chicken that died (rather sickly brown chicken) just was already skating on thin ice to begin with. We are learning, and we are up to 9 chickens. They are so funny and unique. I am so happy with the whole thing.

No ones going to assign blame here. We all make mistakes and we all have hindsight. ❤️‍🩹
Dollar stores really are everywhere in Texas. I live in the middle of nowhere and its still only 10 minutes to two different dollar stores. 🤣
