Raising Chicks... Do they need vaccine?

Mulia, here in the US many States offer inexpensive testing. It is to help keep diseases from spreading and affecting the commercial chicken houses. It is usually tied in with the State Universities. I have no idea what Indonesia offers.

Unfortunately, here in Indonesia, in order to test such thing, you'll be asked huge amount of money

nothing's cheap here, nothing's free here, even I need to pay $4 for a second-hand polystyrene that I used to build my bator while I read here that many people can get if for free of charge

I remember once a BYCer told me "grass greener in neighbors' yard" (if I'm not wrong). It seems that "grass" in US much greener than "grass" over here.

I dont vaccinate ANY of my birds.. With proper cleaninliness and god nutrition they will rarely need medications... At my farm if some one becomes sick I isolate give higher quality feed , herbal supplenents , quiet time and comfort.. If it survives then it and its babies should have a higher tolerance to whatever issue it was that afflicted them.....

The problem is I live in neighborhood, my neighbor also keep chicken, if his chicken get sick, then it's just a matter of time before my chicken get sick... I just get tired dealing with chicken, in one side I love to incubate since it's comforting and funny when see they hatch, in other side, this country power company is just useless company, never be able to light up my house for 7 days a week, but if I late in paying the bill, even for one day, I got fined, but when they shut the power down for 4 hours, I can do nothing than (sorry) sw34ring them in my mind for killing my developing eggs and I'll be running to my kerosene lamp.

more... my dog destroying every coop I built, ruining my chicken wire <indirectly conspiring with weasel (musang here) so the weasel can kill my chicken easily), eating my girls' eggs

. honestly, dealing with this dog is quite tiring me... but I need him to keep my home secure, here in Indonesia we have high enough criminality level (many thieves

)

incubate and raising chicken is hard work here.
