Raising meat chickens. I am hatching
Atm. I currently have 6 5week old chicks and 1 male decided to turn aggressive to the others
Biting the combs of other chicks every few mins or so, I have separated him from the flock in his own pen.

Will he be ok if I remove the females and keep them male only till their size for the roasting tray ?
Females can go separately to my other field if needed but the Roos need to reach 12 weeks to become sizable is there a chance I have to cull the baby chick or will he be fine without the girls in the flock ?

Atm ther 3/3 girl boy 5 week born together

I think he will be fine. Many people keep flocks of just roosters but I’m not an expert

I'd try this for a day or so, then put him back. I have changed behaviors with short separations, even with chicks as young as 2 weeks. It does not always work but I think it is worth a try.
