Raising Chicks in Republic of Panama

Just started brooding 6 chicks in Boquete, Panama. Would love to see what others are doing in the tropical areas.

In true "redneck" fashion, we have our brooder in our guest shower, where it is heated with a 100 watt incandescent bulb. We have had them for less than a week and so far, they seem contented. Our first try at raising laying hens.:cd

I have been raising chickens in Belize for 4 years. Nice that you do not have to worry about heating the coop in winter. My chickens are free range though they go in chicken house at night, lay their eggs, and brood there as well. If you have any specific questions, I can try to answer them for you.
