I'm hoping to start ordering some chicks to start and sell. I was hoping for some advice from some people who have tried this already (best methods, breeds, times, prices, etc.) The reason I've decided to do this is I miss when my chickens were little and I loved raising them. I want to do that again, however I don't need anymore chickens. I am also contemplating doing the same thing with ducklings. Any thoughts?

Where are you planning to sell them?
I was at a poultry swap yesterday in Joplin, MO. A lot of people were offering baby chicks for sale, I heard a seller saying 2.50 each for D'Uccle bantams, $3 each for another breed. I brought and sold a 3 mo cockerel. You would have to have to have a plan B for those that didn't sell.

I am planning on selling them on some poultry sites I am a part of. I am located in Ontario, and I am part of many sites that are just in my area, I also have many poultry friends that are always looking to expand, I also do have some extra room in my coop if i needed to keep some chickens a little longer. ;)
