Hello all, have a problem. I'm not new to raising chicks but I have had several chicks die from a clutch my broody hen hatched. Could it be a genetic thing? I have no problems with other chicks or birds in same flock..thanks

It's a big unknown. Very sad when it happens, I know. Where are you located? Is it very hot? They can die of heat stress, pasty butt, coccidiosis very quickly. It could be a genetic thing too, what kind of chicks are they?
Sorry for the loss.

It isn't pasty butt or coccidiosis. No signs of disease...Its warm here but I thought of heat issues too. They would all get to a certain age and then one by one I find them dead...The last 5 are doing well. They are separated from others and looking good...sometimes it is just a hit and miss with chickens.. thank you for your thoughts.
