(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Chicken lady since 2016/2017.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
13 with more incubating.
(3) What breeds do you have?
D'uccle and Seramas, currently. We originally had 3: Barred Rock, Amberlink and Buff Orpington. Now we have all bantams.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love all birds, feathers, and hatching eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening. I grow pumpkins and gourds. Crocheting, Pond keeping aquatics, Antiques and Art, etc.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have dogs, cats, birds and fish. I enjoy social service and volunteering.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have come across BYC hundreds of times when googling chicken information. I thought it might be fun to join when I realized that I might be able to answer someone's question.
