Sorry I have to make another thread I'm sure I'm getting annoying but... I have a breeding pair of flemish giants I bought last week, the owner said they were both under a year old and he said the doe had already been breed once and raised her litter and was possibly rebreed. But since your supposed to wait until Giants are like 9-10 months she was probably breed to early the first time and I don't want her to be stunted with the second litter... I weighed both rabbits, the buck weighed 10 pounds and the doe weighs 9 1/2 pounds. The buck measures 20 inches from nose to tail and the doe measures 19 inches... As I understand it Flemishes continue to grow until their two years old and require more protein than most breeds because they are heavy boned... I've been giving them 3 cups of greens every day and a few black berries, small bites of apple and half a mini carrot each in the morning and 6 oz. of pellets in the evening along with unlimited hay without any stomach problems (They also go outside every day on a harness for exercise)... Is there anything else I can do to help them gain weight and get up to normal Flemish size? When should you stop giving them unlimited feed? Any good websites about raising them? I haven't been able to find any good information about feed them... (Please note that these will be pets breed occasionally and we don't need them to be gigantic bunnies bigger then our dogs we just want to make sure their healthy)... Thank you
