Raising Guinea Fowl 101

Four weeks should be plenty. The first few days, only let them out in the afternoon so they can't stray too far before it's time to come in for the night. Have plenty of white millet on hand for a treat!
Thank you! We try and give them millet every few days to get them used to us being the treat-givers...they are so suspicious of us.

Hello! I'm new to guineas. I just purchased 2 guinea keets yesterday. I'm really excited to see how they grow. I've been reading the posts and I thank everyone for the great information.

adorable are the pearl grey guineas?

I have 15 lavender keets. I've tried getting them used to me but have had a difficult time.
I've even tried white millet they don't seem to care for it as much as everyone says they should.

good luck with your new babies

Yes they are Pearl Grey Guineas. I'm really excited to watch them grow. These are my first guineas. I never thought I'd like them but after doing some research and talking to the young man I got them from, I think they will be a great fit here on the farm.

it's nice you were able to get yours local from a breeder. I love my guineas and have had excellent luck with cackle hatchery but
if I had been able to find some from a local person I would have purchased locally. It wasn't until after I had ordered that I ran into
someone that had eggs hatching. It is nice to know though in case I need some in the future.
