May try the bamboo, I have some and getting starts of some for cane poles. Still not sure the Australorps will leave their sides unless they are moved to my other coop sooner than if my JG hatch.

Well mine have been out 9f the coop and run all day. No wing hits this time! But now they want back in for the night. So I am not sure if I will let them stay out since I can't imagine they will let me open the gate for them.
Open the gate. they will let you if they want in. If not they might burn your house down when you sleep!!
Guineas can be evil! Never trust or cross them.
If those lil buggers try to get evil with me I will go on a hunt. Have a sore eye still and a nice claw mark on my leg from yesterdays antics. They come when called half the time and run off scared to death or ignore me the other 2 parts. still ask myself now and then what was I thinking to get them. just glad my son hasn't used his shotgun on them yet. he works second shift and his room is close to the coops. he is being woken by them constantly. glad I didn't get a dozen of them! I would be in deeper hot water than I currently am.
Guineas are pack animals like lions, dogs, wolves and hyenas. They need the company of others to function. The minimum amount of guineas one should ever have is 12, any less than that and they go rogue...

Also as their age increases... first year they are wildchilds.... I rescued a small flock of Males that were about five years old Kept em locked up about two weeks and they were regular good citizens.... Did their rounds during tha day came in when called for their lunch and back again for their dinner and coop time.

Well I now have one less. My only male died late today. No injurys seen , he was fine earlier. So we will see how the last 2 do. They are happy with the pullets so that's where they will stay.
Guys I need help asap, I have about 20 guineadowl eggs in the incubator but I lost the hatch dates and don't know if they should hatch this Monday or a week on Monday, (it's Sunday today), I opened the incubator and some of the eggs are cheaping so does that mean they want to hatch tomorrow or in a week, how soon do they start cheaping?
