Raising quail for eggs

I have 13 day old coturnix egg everything is black in the egg but I cant see no veins do you think theyre going to hatch

I am going to jump on this thread as well! I have the same problem. I can't see anything in there and I just put them into lockdown! There are about 3-4 out of 30 that I can actually see the veins. I can't see a darn things in the others except for a huge dark mass and air cell!
Anyone out there can answer us?

The 3 or 4 you can see you can see "veins" in at lock down, have likely died early in the process. The ones you cant see anything but "Dark" and a air cell in should hatch....

EDIT TO ADD: This question was'nt being ignored.... Its just he asked it in 8 different threads and several PM's. Good luck with your hatch

Ok, just to clarify when I say I see veins, I mean I see the live chick and can see the veins if I tilt it slightly right below air cell. The others are just dark, dark, and more darkness other than aircell.

I had these eggs shipped and a couple have saddle shaped aircell, so I decided to put all of them upright in quail egg carton to hatch.

As a rule, you can't see the veins after the first week or so.. The chick and yolk fill the egg at by ten days so much no light can pass thru. When you see a red line in a egg, and it's not mostly dark, it generally what is called a "blood ring". This happens when the egg is invaded by bacteria. This kills the egg... But ones you can see a chick moving. it speaks for its self!! Hope you have a good hatch!

I am also located in very Northern California, I was curious where about are you? I am in Rio Dell..I just started raising quail myself. First eggs to hatch this weekend.

I am near Houston Texas and got my eggs from a guy on eBay that was within 200 miles also in Texas. I was trying to look for the shortest delivery time. Bc I have heard horror stories about those wonderful mailmen that love to just toss the packages labeled live embryo fragile etc....
I just ordered tool unit polish eggs, however they are being shipped from the east coast! (Yikes!!)

I meant tolbunt polish egg

I ship and swap alot of eggs. The Mail ladies know me well.. 99% of the time they do just fine. But as fate would have it. The most expensive eggs Iv ever bought was one of the worst beat boxes iv ever had....They figured out to over $18 per egg..... One I sent to a friend in Florida actually had yolk running out of the mangled box when it got there....
