Raising quail

Hello!! I love to raise quails... they are such needs birds. I was thinking about adding some Golden Pheasants pairs to my quail pen. I understand the Golden r more docile with other birds. I do not have my quail in cages but a large ground pen that is narural looking. Not a whole lot of information on penning these guys together. Does anyone have an opinion?

keeping a mixed flock has its challenges, but it can be done if you have enough space and are willing to accept the risks and sometimes heartbreaking consequences. My aviary is approximately 600 square ft and currently home to 50 coturnix, 5 buttons, 4 ringneck pheasant, 2 pekin ducks, 2 BBB turkeys. (dux and turkeys are temporary residents as are the buttons who will be moved inside once temperatures drop)
But as many will tell you, I’m a bit on the crazy side!! if you want to see more, there are some pics on my coop page link and there is a video on Coturnix Corner youtube channel. As far as keeping Golden pheasant in particular @007Sean would be the expert as I’ve only had ringneck so far and everything i’ve learned about keeping pheasants, I’ve learned from him.

I keep my goldens with my japanese quails with minimal issues. It depends on the individual birds though.
