I have already ordered my heritage turkeys, I will get 16 on 4/11/12. I have read that it is best to raise some chicks with them to show them how to eat etc.

My egg coop is at it's max and I want to raise and process some CX this spring. So I am thinking I will order 25 CX to be delivered the same week. I have a large brooder and a grow out pen for my meaties (thanks to my totally perfect DH) So space for meaties is not an issue.

My question is can I feed the game starter to both the turkeys and the CX. I know I need at least 28% protein for the turkeys, but I am reading that is too high for CX and may cause health issues.

Anyone feed this high protein to CX and not have leg or heart issues?
