Hi,
I have 4, four day old Muscovies. They were born to their duck mama and I have had them for two days. They seem to be bonding to me well, for the most part. I intend to keep only the ducks (hopefully I have 2 in the group) to have as pets. My family and I spend about 6-7 hours a day cuddling/holding these little guys to help with the bonding process.
One if the babies is much more "mouthy", it likes to grab clothes and pinch at my hands more than the others. Do I grab the beak and say 'no' or do I ignore this habit? I've never raised ducklings before and I would appreciate any advice you have.
Thanks

Sounds like the "alpha duck". It is trying to show it is dominant, so no don't just let it go.

For an adult duck, I practice corporal cuddling. I pick up the duck and hold him sort of on his back, then hold the back of his neck like a drake would a hen. I have had to do this to my drake. One of his girls is nesting and he is acting like a total fool right now. My toes are tired of being nibbled

Not sure what to do about an alpha duckling though.

Thanks for your adivce, I really appreciate it as I have no idea what I am doing. This is my first time raising ducklings.
