Since on the subject is my ramp to steep?

That is a pretty steep ramp! I would for sure add a couple more rungs between the ones shown and with a height out from the board of 1/2" or more. Then they may use the ladder/ramp hybrid. As shown, I doubt that could get up without a lot of flapping (bad since flying makes the dust fly).

If you can make it longer and not as steep, it would probably be better. Or, you could do two ramps that length (opposite ways) with a platform in the middle.
