I have asked haven't gotten a response. but you definitely know more then I do... though all my others are health and Happy. So Idk why shes like this. My hope is its not a desese Becuse some of the chickens I have had for generations. If it helps I just resently adopted 2 hens From a fairground a couple weeks backNothing to be sorry about, I'm just letting you know. She can probably help you with the blindness better than I can.
If it is the same, dry cob is not just corn; it is a mix of grains. Here is TSC's version, with ingredients at the bottom. She needs a more balanced feed than just corn, that's not a complete diet. Can you buy a bag of chicken feed, maybe something called All-flock? If she's not laying eggs she does not need calcium. If you provide calcium in a separate dish, only the birds that need it will take what they need. You should not mix it with their food, it can harm them.
Chickens should have chicken food, not people food. Just like you can not get proper nutrition eating dog food and you would not feed parrot food to gold fish.
She certainly does not look happy here. What about grit. Do you also provide grit? That helps them digest their food.
TY! do you know north forty? I get my dry cob thereIf it is the same, dry cob is not just corn; it is a mix of grains. Here is TSC's version, with ingredients at the bottom.
I feed grain to them Becuse I can also feed it to my goats... Also what ever they don't get from grain they get from leftovers. At the top of that bag it says it is for mature horses, goats, cattle and sheep. Not poultry. You need feed designed for poultry - chickens, turkeys, BIRDS. Again, you cannot feed animals food designed for other animals and expect them to do well on it. You can not eat cat food. Your birds need chicken food.
