I would keep her near the usual food spots in early morning and again in late afternoon before she goes to roost. You may have to take her aside and feed her separately. Many flocks contain a chicken with limited eyesight, and as long as the food and water are left in the same familiar spots, they usually can find them.

It might seem suddenly to you, but it may have been in the works for a while. If she is not getting a balanced diet (chicken feed) then what seems sudden has probably been happening slowly.

All your chickens need this balanced feed. If you do not provide it, your flock will suffer and more will become ill. There are vitamins and minerals in chicken feed at the proportions that chickens need. Any "treats" should be limited to less than 10% of their daily food source.

I know this seems like extra "work", but it is not compared to what suffering your flock will endure if they continue to eat what is not sufficient for them.

I hope you will consider that. Good luck.

I Dont have control over what they eat. I mentioned it to the person that does and she won't lission. She said " even though it doesn't have all what they need but Becuse we feed them scraps.. they get what they need from that...." I hear you all About the food but I cant control that. All I can do is help the hen adapt.

I'm not trying to be mean but you guys are heard but Im in charge of feeding/watering/caring for the hens/rosters. Someone else is in charge of Buying food/bending. I'm sry that I can't do much I'm just trying my best with what i can do :(

So it's beginning to sound as if her blindness and weight loss are due to a combination of factors, starting with poor nutrition. Now that she can't see to find kitchen scraps, the problem is getting worse. As @Eggcessive said above, she may be able find food if it is always left in the same place, but I think she needs more help than that. I think you need to take her aside and feed her by herself at least two or three times a day until you get her weight back up, and also be sure she gets grit in her diet because she can no longer find it for herself. I think you need to listen to what everyone here has been telling you and provide her with a proper, well-balanced diet designed for chickens, not for mammals. Otherwise there is a good chance you could lose her to malnutrition.

:hugs I'm sorry, I wrote my post above before I read what you said here. It's hard when you care about your flock but you're not the one who makes the decisions. We know you're doing the best you can. See if you can make sure she gets some peas from your household scraps more often and maybe some protein like tuna.

In My previouse post I had mentioned I don't have controll over food. I'm sry but I have been trying to convince but I dont have much control. Is there a way to make homemade grit??? And Ill try my best! :)

Another thought...if you can't get the flock the proper diet via poultry feed, you could try buying some vit b complex, vit a and some vit e in tablet form and crushing them up and adding that to the food they do get. Vitamins are fairly cheap and could help the flock a long way. You could mix it into the table scraps they do get.
