Random brown chick in with my red ranger broilers....

What are your thoughts on this brown chick? I recently purchsed Red Ranger Broilers, and this little guy (or girl) must have been placed in the box on accident...its legs are not as tall or thick are the RRB and it has a softer more rounded head...


It would be nice is it turned out to be a dual purpose hen! I can always use more layers :]

She's not a Speckled Sussex, they have a V on their heads. Do you know what the other breeds of chicks they were selling are?

It was actually a special order and even the agway I ordered them through we're stumped. I don't think it's a red ranger, she looks totally different

Agway doesn't breed chickens -- they placed an order with a hatchery for you. They should be able to tell you which hatchery and that will narrow the possibilities. Also, things like leg color and comb type are clues but neither can be seen in the photos.
