So, while I was at the store, someone brought a rooster on my property and shut it in my chicken house.

First off, disease.
Second, I have two roosters.
Third, all my chickens and roosters are full size, this was a bantam.
Fourth, I've got 4-H chicks going out there in two weeks.
Fifth, animal control had a good laugh.

Needless to say, irritated beyond belief. I had to cull it. I hate culling with a passion. Not fair to me, not fair to the rooster.

Anybody ever had this happen?

Honestly, it just proved my theory that in this backwoods county, people are too inbred to be quite human.

I’ve had lots of birds dropped off here, even rabbits!

I ended up keeping them all, I could never cull without a reason; I know that your reason is cross contamination. But I personally would have set up a quarantine, plus he was already exposed to your other birds. And since you already have two boys, you could have tried rehoming him, a lot of people love bantam boys!

The place I have for quarantine is where the chicks are going in two weeks. I'm not set up for three roosters to 15 hens. Being a bantam, he was getting his tail feathers plucked by the 2nd roo, who was literally stalking him.

I've tried getting rid of roosters here. It's like trying to give away excess zucchini.

I've had cats dropped off, they merge into life with the barn cats.

Had a few stray chicken show up, not sure if they were dropped off or wandered in thru my woods from neighboring free rangers.

Did have an acquaintance drop a fish into my pond once. I was not happy.

If someone put a bird into my coop I'd be furious!
Would be blatant trespassing here with all my fences and gates.

Someone pulled up to my daughters drive way and threw two roosters out. Not right, but it happens!

That’s horrible! I can’t believe somebody would do something like that!
