Random Chicken Drop Off

One thing I have seen in an undying pattern is that neighbors like yours end up moving away when you least expect it. Or, in the case of the neighbor that used to scream at me because I put my trash out early in the evening the day before pick-up... catch a crazy weird fungus in the brain and die within a month. The universe has a way of finding that imbalance and forcibly balancing it. So, do not balance it yourself by resorting to their behaviors. (You seem like good people and wouldn't even dream of it anyway.) Leave the imbalance of their behavior and yours. Things will change. Every time.

Karma. Good advice. While most people genuinely try to be nice, there's always bad apples.

Where I am, cats and dogs get ditched frequently! Usually animal control steps in before we have to since they have noticed the land by us is a hot zone for people to ditch animals.

I wouldn't mind if someone dropped a goat off at my house :D Be a good excuse to get the goat I always wanted

Oh me too! Honeysuckle vine took over last year. I keep looking for rent-a-goat, somebody needs to be that enterprising. DH would have a fit if we got one on a permanent basis.
We just went to a chicken swap and DH was truly entertaining the idea of a goat. I'm sure within the next two years we will have one or two. Right now we are working on our chicken flock.

They're great for weeds! If I had a goat, I'd never have to mow!

Never mow. Going out now to weedeat. Goats beat arthritis any day of the week.

Sunrise on the spider webs was so pretty this morning.

To cull means to 'remove from a group'....doesn't always mean killing.
What is culling a hen?
Culling hens refers to the identification and removal of the non-laying or low producing hens from a laying flock. Unless the birds are diseased, they are suitable for marketing or home cooking.

Sounds like killing to me...you cant eat a live bird.

Well sometimes you can find a home for them where someone just wants them as a pet.
