Ok to answer some questions. Pur run is completely enclosed and they dont free range since they may be MG carriers. Our run is hardware cloth. The laying hens I currently have are red sexlinks, production blues, and 2 easter eggers. I know mixed breeds can come out as whatever but I dont see these being hatched from my girls. Our yard is also completely fenced so not sure how they would have wondered into the fence yard then into a secure run.

The black ones are already barring so I'm thinking barred rock or cuckoo maran by the combs. The 2 brown ones I have no clue what they are. From what I've research possibly barnevelder but not sure as I've never had that breed or even researched them. They dont look easter egger as they have no puffy cheeks or green legs. Legs are light color.

Is there possibly any little holes that they can fit though? Any signs of any broody hens????

No holes I can find. We even have wire skirted out. I've made sure its secure because those darn sparrows were getting in a year ago. No sign of broodies. They all are and have been in the run scratching, dust bathing ect.

You may want to check with your kids. Some schools hatch chicks and let kids take them home. Or it could be your neigbors' kids got some easter chicks and don't want/ not allowed to have them anymore, so they just decided to dump them in your chicken yard.
I homeschool so definitely wasnt my kids. I'm almost positive someone dumped them. Theres just no way they got in themselves we have so many stray cats also that I cant see them making it into my secure yard then into my secured run unscathed.

I hate to think what kind of irresponsible person did this, but I have to agree that's most likely what happened. Anyway, at least mortality from MG is usually low, so these chicks should be ok. Hopefully, they are girls...
