Hi, welcome to BYC!
How long does she stop laying for?
By a pair.. you mean one hen and one rooster? How old are they? Do you give treats?
Laying can be effected by many things. Nutrition is one. But there are also possible predator visits or other disturbances we might notice. Even the weather can impact laying. Parasites like intestinal worms or external like poultry lice or mites can also impact laying. Broody behavior another big one, even in alleged non broody breeds. Right near the top of the list has got to be genetics...
So many birds will lay a "clutch" of eggs and take a short break... maybe a few days and in new layers I have even seen a few weeks break from a gal who in the end was not a consistent layer and would do that all the time.
So depending on how long of a break you are describing, it may or may not be normal. Are you able to post a pic? Anything different like not eating or drinking during that time? What is your run floor covered with?
