Pictures don't even come close to doing this justice, but this is the top of the Pacific Crest Trail on the Sierra Nevada Mountains, near Tinker's knob. 8,950 feet in elevation. My 14 year old son and I hiked 56 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail in 5 days this past summer. If you look down the trail, you can see some people, to give you a gauge of how massive it is.
