Random PICS - Araucana, lavender projects, etc

Thanks Jody! I'll keep taking pics and I do hope they are girls. They just stand so pretty and look "girly" to me!

The colors are dazzling in the sunlight. Do you recall who might be the daddy to the dark ones?

The only possible daddy's for your dark ones are Dragon and Blizzard. Blizzard has since been rehomed, but here is a pic of him when he was here.

Your whites are from Sparks and his ladies..

Jennifer, I'm so sorry about your hatch. I don't know why and I guess it's anyone's guess why some get them to hatch and others don't. I'd be happy to try again in the spring if you like. No one's really laying much right now, but we should have some great breeding pens going in spring.

I'm glad you like them and would love for you to have some too! Thanks so much for your nice comments. The runs in the pics are from my lav breeding pen. The new coop runs will be finished up soon and I'll get some pics posted when they're ready. The grass is growing so nice in them. I bet the chooks are anxious to get out on it.

Thanks katrinag!

Jody

Oh Jody! It isn't a problem! It was not your fault. Any that weren't cracked were probably double tufted rumpless.

That was one shipment that had lots of cracked eggs. You sent some extras with my beautiful buff orp eggies!

I will order some araucana from you in the spring for sure. and probably more orps, since I sold mine to my local 4h club, because they really wanted some nice Buff Orps for the kids to work on and I couldn't say no.
