sara - I am in love with those blues. I have got to get better pics of the young girls. They don't really stand still long enough for good pics of them tho. I have a great black cockerel who will be going with them. I think I'll have to rehome my red boy, but we'll see. I really would have liked to use him here as well cuz I just love that color. Gosh, I hate when it comes down to choosing..I want everything!

Shellie - are you referring to eggs from the big black girls? If so, all of those hens will be up for sale by spring. I already got a couple inquiries for them, but if you want any let me know and I'll be sure to let you know when they're ready to go. Or we could do eggs and you can have fun hatching.

Jody, are you selling the pure blacks or just the eggs?

Once we have our bators full from them, I will likely offer the eggs from them. They are black split lavender, so you will get pure black, split black and pure lav in the offspring.

Once we have our breeders for next season, I will be selling all of the blacks and possibly some lavenders as well.

Edited to add - I already sent breeding groups off to 5 other breeders to ensure the lav orps get worked on vigorously. Also planning to rehome Lucas after this season - he's got a bad attitude (to me, not dh), so maybe he'll lose his head.
