Here's my random facts....
1). Poultry lice do not suck blood and will not infest humans. Red mites will suck blood from humans, but won't reproduce.
2). Styrofoam incubators are best avoided. Build a DIY incubator that is 500% more reliable and super cheap.
3). Do not rely on any thermometer that comes with an incubator unless you calibrate it. And don't use just one either! Buy a handful of aquarium thermometers, calibrate them, and use those.
4). Ducks are more disease resistant than chickens.
5). The "Americanas" at the feed store are actually easter eggers. True Ameraucana and Araucanas are fairly rare and will pretty much never be found at a feed store.
