I was just browsing around here and found a pic of 4 double yolkers in a frying pan. It got me thinking...can someone tell me what would happen if these eggs were fertile and incubated/hatched? Would one dominate the other and obviously the small one would die in shell? Has anyone successfully hatched a double yolker?

They can be successfully hatched, there's threads about it here on the forum. Even a video! The result is twin chicks! Sorta.

Not both chicks always make it though.

Thanks, i went through most of that thread just now...up to the point where the OP said it was one large chick and a smaller one... So i guess it experienced some sort of twin on twin transfusion (ttts, in human twins). Very very sad, wish the chicks had made it!!!
