My son once told me he couldn't explain computers to me because I was too dumb to understand. Tough to have a mother like that when he is a programmer for Microsoft.
My brother( systems security for VA)has always said "Some people WORK for a living." My father made a point of letting me know I was the smartest of the 3 kids, school counselor told him that, and still turned out to be nothing.
I used to trim dogs (self taught when I was 14) and I loved doing it. I never wanted to be rich and famous or stuff like that and I got my wish.
My English teacher used Strange words on me all the time - she was very smart, she knew it would bother me and I would have to find out what they meant. I did and I loved doing it. But the past 5-10 years my brain seems to be running out of fuel. I can't remember anything, I used to be a topnotch speller and now putting up a random word, I have great difficulty spelling some of the easy ones. Spellcheck apparently can't figure out what word I mean. So I have to put something else in my post..
