my girls are LOVING IT...seriously??? lol...

they LOVE the music and the costume/outfits they are wearing...they are toe-tapping and giggling...

man I need intervention for them!

I despised LW when I was a kid. Now if reruns come on, on PBS. It's a little more OK.

My parents used to watch it all the time when I was growing up. Such tacky clothes but heck, that was the hey days back in those days!

What's wrong with Lawrence Welk? ...other than at my age, they're
all reruns.

I get the Red Green Show on my local PBS. (supposed to be on now)
But I enjoy Lawrence Welk, Dean Martin, but the winner for my daughter
is Tim Conway on the Carol Burnette Show.

Old shows were gold....

We have several TVs in the house. However, so that we don't become strangers each off in a different room they are all hooked up so that what is showing on one is showing on all. You cannot watch one program in one room and another program in another room. We take turns picking programs, though I'm not a big TV watcher. Last night my DH was torturing me by watching an old Red Skelton movie. Loved the dancing, didn't mind the music at all, hated the singing. Like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Same goes for the Lawrence Welk Show. Also, music from the Big Band Era. Grew up listening to it. Think the dance moves are awesome. Long as they don't start singing to it.

Immediate flashback to when I was a kid and had to watch Lawrence Welk because it was Mom's favorite show. I hated it and 60+ years later i would still hate it.
