Question from the new chick in town...how do you find out if a town will allow you to have chickens in your backyard?
I'm thinking of purchasing a home in one of two cities and want to find out ahead of time whether or not they allow it. Who do I call. I can't find anything regarding what kind of 'pets' are allowed on the city websites. Help!
I'm already addicted to this website and eager to have some chickies of my own. I live in an apartment and hope that when I do get a house that I can have a few chicks for eggs. Right now, I'm relying on my brother to supply when his start laying. He's got some RI/NH Reds (6) and some leghorns (5).
