I wouldn't bring a chicken to a vet either, but if his toe if just broken try and put a splint on it.
If he is obviously in pain and not getting any better, then sometimes culling is the most humane thing to do.
But, bring him inside, give him sugar water, splint his toe, and just make sure he's comfortable.
