Rant!!! I think I'm done selling on e-bay!!

Me too, unless I can't find it anywhere else. And since they now own paypal, I wish we had a decent alternative way to send $ to eachother for our BYC & CL purchases!
They turned me off when they jacked up rates & made the feedback system one sided, and were quoted as saying "sellers, and buyers, are just noise".

I had a bad experience as a buyer. My DH bought me a nice ceramic churn. The guys auction stated that it would be double wrapped and double boxed. It was over $100. Well when it got here it was in one flimsy box and only half full of peanuts. Needless to say it was smashed!! We did the paypal dispute and after about a month we had to send it back to get our money back. So it cost us $27 to ship it the slowest way. So we were out our time and $27.

I do a ton of pay pal. And there is no need to pay the fees for payments such as I suspect are common for this group. Buying eggs and chicks from each other. paying off that football bet. general bribery

or what have you. Just pay through friends and family. Also when money is refunded for a transaction there is no fee in fact the portion of the fee that was charged o that amount is returned. I regularly have as many as 1200 pay pal transactions a year and created about 3 to 4 thousand dollars in income for pay pal. they still don't think my opinion counts for much.

I'm mainly a buyer on eBay. In my buying I have left 1 negative and 1 neutral feedback.
The negative for a guy I bought some ski equipment from that never showed up. I could produce the money order I used to pay for it, but he could not produce a tracking number. I filed a complaint with eBay and they did nothing. Guy got away with over $100.00
Even thought I contacted my post office and sent him the copy of the money order the Post Office had on file.

The guy I left neutral feedback on I could not think of a single thing to say nice about him. No contact, item was barely wrapped in bubble wrap, took forever to get here.
He left a super nasty feedback for me and sent me nasty e-mails calling me names and eBay did nothing to stop him. I filed a complaint against him and that stopped the e-mails.

I use paypal now and the hubby knows nothing about it. My last account had several attacks on it from hackers trying to get into it.

I sell on ebay, and have had a high number of problems with buyers compared to the overall number of sales that I make. Recently, one of my customers waited 6 weeks then contacted me and said they never got thier item. I sent back the Delivery confirmation, and they never emailed me about it again. Later they left feedback saying they were "sorry". I think he was trying to get a refund of over $100 but didn't realize I had paid for delivery confirmation. One day I sent a couple of boxes of eggs to some customer. Some evil postal worker must have been on duty because all of the people whos eggs I sent that day reported breaks. This despite individual bubble wrap for each egg, a bubble wrap burrito and double-boxing. One is expecting me to pay her money back for the single egg that broke, despite the extras I sent. And this person didn't pay within 24 hours of auction end, and had been a pain from the begining.

Yup, I always use the personal tab on paypal when sending money to avoid the fee's, It's saved me a lot of money.

Whats the personal tab that you are talking about?

I have had really no issues, I'm a buyer though. I have gotten many, many things only once was I disapointed because the knitting needles I bought were nasty and smelled bad took it as my loss though.
