for the record. For some scary reason my daughter LOVES that John and Kate plus 8 show. I hate it.

Especially in the opening when Kate say " It's OUR LIFE"
Well yeah and you gave up ALL rights to privacy and took on taking public opinion Good and Bad, when YOU put YOUR LIFE on TV.

I hope I never see or hear about her complaining about media and how they get emails and such. You put it out there!

Same as this woman with the octuplets. You got yourself pregnant. Choose to have ALL 8 of them.. PLUS the 6 you already had.
Dont go complaining about media and public opinion that doesnt support you!! The news stations gobble this stuff up. Of course it was gonna be out there. Ya never hear of the woman that has 1 or two kid and then stops having kids.

How is she going to pay for daycare? I mean expecting the grandparents to care for them ALL is a bit selfish.. but then again.

I do take back the Duggar thing. Maybe child # wise she caught up to them, but the Duggars do pretty well for themselves financially.

I cannot imagine 14 kids in a 2-3 bedroom house. I guess it was probably done way back in the day, but easily? No way.

I have to admit thought that I dont "like" them because the older kids really arent getting a chance to be "kids" But hey. As long as they dont take money from the gov to do it.

BTW do they have any chickens???? Just for the eggs it might be worth while for them to get a few layers.

That's why I was feeling sorry for Oct's previous 6 kids. You know they will be helping with ALL aspects of tending the new 8. Bless their young hearts!
And there's no need for daycare once the oldest kids are in their teens, either... Depending on the laws of the state.

Nope, I really don't think it's sad. I think they are a beautiful well adjusted family. I highly doubt that the older kids never get any down time and what they do for down time in their own right is probably different from what others might think is the norm for kids.
They may think it's a blast to go practice an instrument or read a book alone while someone else's kid would think it's a snore and wants to play video games or go to the mall... I think it's just the way they've been raised.

I have only 3 kids, but my 8 year old son is my right hand man when Daddy isn't home. He helps me with everything and enjoys enjoys every moment of it. I've had to tell him that it's okay, Mommy will change the baby, you go play- when he has been playing with his little sister and noticed before me that she has a wet diaper...
He gets outside every single day and either helps or takes care of the chickens all by himself of his own want. They are his chore and he loves it and wouldn't have it any other way.
I know that someday he's going to make someone a lovely, responsible husband. Just like his Daddy
