Can you produce one of these studies? Plants lack a nervous system and a brain, so I find that highly doubtful.

I have seen those studies also, and some plants actually thrive is spoken kindly to, others will wilt and commit suicide if threatened verbally or loud harsh music is played...it was interesting, cannot remember where I saw it but probably you can see such studies if ya google it up.

I have a few thoughts that have sprang into my mind over this whole thing....
One is the subject of vegetarianism, as what if so many DID go vagetarian ?
What would they use to fertilize the millions of acres of produce that would have to be grown......................??????????????????????

and Two............What do these folks feed their dogs & cats ?????????????

I am closing my eyes and trying to "picture" their ideal world...................

And why push for more GMO vegetables ?
All of them upset my body to the point of anaphalactic shock...soy, wheat, some corn, barely, malt, etc.
Any GMO.....very obvious to me that GMo foods are not nice to the immunal system, so how DO we feed the new droves of Vegie folk (if say, even half of the US population suddenly went vagetarian ) ???????????????

Manure has to come from someplace.

I have a hard time keeping up but love all the various insights !
I want to ask now, each of you, seriously think on what Catherine's IDEAL planet earth would be like as if she could wave her hand & make it so ?

All humans eating plants, no eggs, milk, cheese.......no maure to use as fertilizers...............keep this going.
I want to see if we can SEE what SHE SEES and is it even slightly attainable to have such an place as she would wish for ?
No animals, horses, cows, pigs, dogs & cats.............would animals thus run rampant & wild, uncared for?
Thus diseased & wormy ? Starving ? Hit & dead on highways for running loose & uncared for ?

You get my point, let's see what you all think her perfect world would be..........................

If we do what Catherine would see as a perfect vegetarian world....human waste would be the only manure available to grow all the millions of acres of veggies..................yuck, there would be alot of disease issues there !!!

People, even the most extreme of vegans know that living without harming animals is impossible. They just try to do the best they can. Again in a religious comparison, Jesus said that no one is without sin, Christians strive to minimize their sins and do the best they can. Veganism, in this extreme case, is very like a religion; those following try to do the best they can to avoid injuring or killing animals.

You can disagree with the extremity of the view, but to nitpick and said it cannot be done is no better than saying someone shouldn't try to live a Christian/Moslem/Jewish lifestyle.

What you claim is oh so true in religion on any subject but true Christianity is not based on living up to a code of ethics but Christ living his life through you. No where in the Christian Bible does it say a Christian is to live a Christian life, what it does say is Christ will live his life through you which is a huge difference.

No chain yankin just an often overlooked fact of Christianity.
