Raptor Chickens Coop Build Starts....

So new question. When we transferred our birds from the broader to the super small coop that you can see in some of my pics, we kept them in the coop/run for 2-3 weeks before we let them "free-range" out in the 24' x 36' fenced in area we have.

As they got bigger they really looked forward to and needed that time. I would let them out every day after work and on the weekends they pretty much had the whole weekend out.

So the question is, how long should we keep them in the new coop before letting them out to graze in the big area? So far its been about a week.. FWIW the old small coop is still in the fenced in area.

So on the feeders issue I ended up just going with chains hanging from the roof with the feeders about a foot off the ground. Seems to be working well.

I priced the PVC to do my idea and it would've cost around $100 to do both water and feed. I still think its a great idea and if I ever run across some inexpensive parts to make it happen I'll probably switch but 100 but when I've already got two feeders is a little rich for my blood.

A couple of closer up pics of the ventilation for the coop.

I'm thinking of doing a coop write up for other folks, not sure how to do that or if I can just use this thread.

Thanks. I did that but once I did the article I don't know how to get back to it lol.

I'm not too concerned with the contest but I wouldn't mind throwing my hat in the ring.

More importantly I'd like to know how to link to that write up for info purposes for others once my build thread has vanished into the here beyond.

I'm no good at screenshots, but if you're on a desktop or laptop rather than a phone there is a bar across the top that has various buttons on it. One of those buttons is "Articles".

If you click the down-pointing triangle inside that button you'll get a menu that includes "Your Content". Scroll down to "Your Published Articles" or "Your Drafts" to look for your piece.

Yea I access this site exclusively via mobile device. I've tried every thing I know to do and can't find the article I wrote.

I'm not particularly technologically savvy either.
