I havent learned comb types yet . But here is a close up of the one believed to be the roo. He looks like a little baby leopard. And going the the hatchery catalog ( which is pain staking when trying to identify 12 ) the only one they have that has these markings whne theyre babies is the golden campine. Hes also the only one out of the bunch w a comb that is red. And this large already. Thats why I have labled him the rooster. But who knows lol
I think you guessed correctly on this one

Thanks so much!! It's so fun and entertaining to try to guess what you have. But at the same time it eats away at you bc you just don't know! Loki have spent hours combing through the catalog and googling pictures. Lol. They are really a group of characters.. each one has its own little personality.

He is a Roo without a doubt.
I have a 3week old and his combe was red at the end of the week and now he stands straight up in front the girls at 3 weeks. I know these 8 will have there own quaters then my others, because he will be DOMINANT over my 12 week olds

The lil black one looks like my Happy.
He is a true lil Japanese Bantam.

How old are your chicks?

That's him in my profile pic at a week old. This is him 2 weeks ago. He is a roo and it took him 8weeks to get his redness. He is so small the other's dont care.

When they start chest bumping then you will know all hell will break loose eventually

They are 2 weeks old today :)

I learned to listen to the others quickly. Especially when it comes to the lil bantams, EE, because anything is possible.

I have 13 week olds and 1 I still have no idea.

Then my 9 week olds includes Happy and 5 others well I am still trying to figure out their sex, this will be thrilling for you.

PS my 9 week old started croaking aka for baby roo "cock a doodle doo."

I am a first-time chick Mommy and I have learned so much in 13 weeks. I started with 12, then 16, and know 24.

The 13 week olds are starting with the hateful pecking order.
I think they grow in doggie years.
