I have a Beautiful SFH and two, maybe 3 Icleandics that need new homes.

I am in Northern California. The SFH came from Just Struttin Farms and is from Green Fire Lines. The Icelandics are also from Just Struttin and came from eggs claimed on a BYC swap. The eggs came from a breeder whose birds came from Kathyinmo and Mary O'Brian. I will post pics of the Icelandics but in the meantime here is the SFH. Thanks!

Thank you for pointing out that I didn't say they were cockerels in the body of the post

Yes, Swedish Flower hen is the breed and he is a little boy...Littlest one in the pen but the most boyish, always putting on a show

lol. Swedish Flower Hens.. That's a bit like naming some breed 'Such-and-such Roosters'. Maybe it's referring to the coloring of the females only, I guess. Since the roosters would probably not really represent the breed's defining colors as the females and young males would. Or something...

I take any and all in, that are in need of a home... Please pm if your willing to ship sense I live in tx
We have plenty of space for all!

here is name information from Greenfire who were the first to import them into the U.S. 3 years ago.

"Swedish flower hens are called blommehöns in Swedish; literally ‘bloom hens.’ The complex and brilliant color feather patterns of the birds do, indeed, evoke the image of a tangle of wildflowers. Their full visual appeal can’t be adequately appreciated unless you witness firsthand the rich and striking colors of the birds."

My apologies beforehand, tommysgirl, as I'm sure you are just passing on this information (derived elsewhere). In actuality, the 'Swedish Flower Hen' is called the 'Skånsk blommehöna', in Sweden. "Skånsk" means, 'from Skåne (pronounced 'Sk[FONT=Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]ō-neh') which is the southernmost region (county) of Sweden, where the breed was developed (bred) ... and incidentally where I live. Here is a link to the 'Swedish Rural Hens Club' (Svenska Lanthönsklubben), which has a breed description (unfortunately not translated to English from Swedish) with additional photos of the breed, ... which if true that ...' a picture is worth a thousand words' ... then these pics are translated into the native tongue of all (multi-lingual) viewers...
