Rare Breed Cockerels need new home: Swedish Flower Hens and Icelandics Free to a breeding program!

I am afraid it wouldn't work out as I would have to ship him to you. I am out west You should be able to find roosters in your area though. Check Craigs List and good luck.

I am starting up my Swedish Flower Hen brooding program. We have 2 grown hens and one about 7 mos. I'd be happy to take any or all available. I'd pay the shipping to Georgia.

I have never shipped a live bird before...Let me research it. I think I will have to ship him with someone. Will you take one or more of the Icelandic boys if I can't ship him solo?

ETA I just did a little research and it looks like USPS will only ship day olds and adults. I think that may be becuause they don't need to drink as day olds and they can survive longer without drinking as a day old. This guy is just 5 weeks old so sorry but I don't think it will work. I am willing to bet that you can find a beautiful rooster close by by looking for SFH breeders in your area. Greenfire Farms is in Florida and they may a good resource.

Best of Luck

I found a home for the SFH. Thanks to all who were interested and wished me luck. He went to an avid "birdman" who said he would keep me updated with pictures if I wanted...pretty cute.

Still working on the Icelandics. If you are in Northern CA and interested in a breeding pair let me know.

We live in Northern California and are interested in taking in the chickens, hens or roosters. Do you still have them available?

No, but may I have your contact information for future reference? You can send me a PM here on BYC. Thanks!
