Anyone know what the rarest breeds of chickens are?

Just looked up some pics, very pretty birds

I want to try and raise some of the rarer breeds here eventually, however, they will have to be cold tolerant birds.

I dont believe in rare chickens just quality chickens.
Any Chicken breed for quaility is Truly Rare. Just my opinion

I think some of the rarest breeds are Lamonas, and true pyncheon bantams.

I was just doing some research myself on this. I found this list. Hollands, Delawares, Chanteclers, and Buckeyes. There was another - a game bird but I didn't write it down because I am not interested in them. If I can re-find the link I will post it later. It was a great read with lots of history of each of the breeds.

I love rare breeds... here (UK) the Vorwerk is consider a rare breed... I have a broodie sitting on six eggs... fingers crossed!

opps forgot to mention also that here the Java is extremely rare...

pure blood orientals..are rare..doesnt matter which type
but a pure pure animal is tough to find..
