I went out and took pictures. The roo has been hen pecked and should have a tail. He has the beginnings if you look.

Wow, I can't believe I'm being forced to work this hard to give away free eggs that I pay the shipping on and get absolutely nothing out of. I'm actually paying to get rid of Buttercup eggs??? And I have to justify the offering. I must be crazy. Some say they are ready for the swap to start. If these eggs aren't GOOD enough, I have nothing to start with right now because all I can do is wait for my breeds to begin laying.

I've already been informed that the OP is supposed to begin the swap. Personally, I didn't know this was a requirement when I started the thread. I've even bought adult chickens to get some eggs to swap with and THEY aren't laying. If someone else has eggs they are willing to start with that people want, go ahead. Maybe the members who have breeds laying would be better to start this. Otherwise, I don't know what to tell ya...

I can understand that cold weather would be hard on Buttercups. And I do hear that some find them interesting. But, what do I do? I'm sorry for going off but I've already offered them once before on this thread and I'm frustrated at this point.

PS I really think this chain needs to wait for everyone's chickens to start laying again.

I'm interested in trading some of my Dominiques in about two weeks. I'm only getting 1-2 eggs a day from these

I just learned how to check the yolk for fertility this morning, so I'll check the next egg today. Anyone Interested? This cock does have some brassiness on his wings but I chose him over his two brothers because of his size. His brothers had no brassiness and smaller more perfect combs.

I think your Buttercups are lovely! See, now you're going to get all kinds of compliments on them. I know someone was interested in the SP Rocks, so hopefully things will move on from here. Don't feel bad that no one jumped right on them. We all have our specific breeds we're after, and often hold back, waiting on those. Thank you for starting this swap!!
