Rare, unique breeds?

I raise, show, breed, and sell, Large Fowl Araucanas. I feel they are rare and unique. Rare in the sense that there are few breeders out there, few quality birds available, and hatcheries do not carry them.

How about this for unique-ness. They are rumpless ( complete lack of a tail ), only one or two other breeds are rumpless ( persian rumpless and one other I believe), They have tufts of feathers sticking our of their cheeks ( they are the only breed that has this ), and they lay blue eggs ( the ameraucana, the creme legbar, and I believe one other breed , not counting the Easter Egger which is not a breed, also lay blue eggs). Each of these traits are unique on their own, but the Araucana combines all these traits into one bird.

They are goofy looking and beautiful all at the same time.

I am not sure how many other Country's have them, But Yellow Hungarians. I know there are none in the US. and i know that The ones in Hungry are related to my strain. There egg shells are different.. The ones i have used seem to crack length ways.

Many Black Meat breeds are rare and expensive. I was going to buy a Ayam Cemani trio for $1500.00 but, life got in the way.

For a REAL and purebred Ayam Cemani in the US that's awfully cheap for a trio. But yes, they are indeed very very rare.

These are definitely some of the most unique yet gorgeous birds I've seen. Nice work!

Yeah, they were giving me a deal on them since I wasn't going to breed for profit for the first couple of years. They had just imported them.

So according to that I have a couple. Ancona faverolles and had a new Hampshire.

The biggest downfall with the ALBC is that they take hatcheries in a count so you don't know how true the records are.
