Love this design so much...RonP knows that I was so excited I woke my Husband up at 1.00 am to tell him about this...truly..it works...rats are carriers of deadly diseases to your animals and to YOU...

As an aside...remove and dispose of any dead rats...well out of the reach of any cats, dogs and fowl that may venture to attempt to eat the carcass..any poisons ingested by a dead rat may still be in the stomach of the corpse and can be deadly to our living animals.

We still see the occasional rat here...it is an ongoing problem as they tend to live in our hay barn...traps are useless as rats are very intelligent creatures...admire their intellect but hate their effect on the health threat to our animals here.
