RAT WAR!!

I know those work well for mice but never heard personal success stories for rats.

My rat war has taken an interesting turn. Barn cats caught some small ones and I eventually caught a big female in a plastic snap trap baited with peanut butter, about 2 weeks ago. Oddly no more signs of incursion into the coop or run. Could it have mostly been one big rat with a litter?

Unless you also caught a large male rat, your worries are not over. You've worried them enough to hide better....at least in my experience.

Poppa is out there, with some uncles, and aunts, and cousins.

Ugh I bet you're right too. Can't blame me for hoping lol. Every time it warms up a bit I'm tearing something apart and reinforcing so maybe its just getting hard to dig in also. Or maybe I trapped him somewhere.

Has anyone ever tried an electrocuting trap, a rat zapper? I have never seen them before, until tonight, the reviews are very mixed.

I have zapped a couple of rats. They learn quickly to avoid it though. Rats are very smart
