i am needing to get some chickens just for resale eggs.all the chickens i have are breeders or project birds.my black coppers lay the biggest eggs but i don't have enough of those to sell.
i usually sell the smaller eggs but my customers want the big eggs.i would like to stick with purebreds.
if you have any of these breeds ,please tell me about their egg size:

speckled sussex
light/coronation sussex(big bird-big egg?)
black giants
welsummers
barnevelders
delawares
dominques
wyandottes
cuckoo marans
brahmas

if you have a breed i didn't list and they lay a large to jumbo egg, please let me know.

thank you for sharing:)

Delawares, Light Brahmas, Barnevelders and Jersey Giants are normally pretty big eggs. Welsummers are supposed to be too but so far mine aren't but they're still young so hoping they get bigger.
Besides breed, egg size is also an individual bird thing.
I get big eggs from Black and Blue Jersey Giants but I have one black who's eggs aren't all that big.

I get big eggs from Anconas, white Minorcas and from the very first egg, my white Ameracaunas laid very big eggs.

Definitly need to add Leghorns and Rhode Island Red's to that list. Big chicken does not always mean big egg. My leghorns are the smallest breed I have but lay the largest egg! My Blue Copper Marans lay jumbo eggs too.
