Since I called Ideal back today to order more pullets, I also added another roo; making my total order 21 pullets and 2 roos. Is that a good ratio? I want to avoid the roos fighting if at all possible. Also, about 'purebreds'. My hens and roos will all be brahmas, though not of the same color variety. So any future chicks would be brahmas, but not technically purebreds or am I just, as usual, confused?

I think they would all be purebreds, but not standard colors that breed true. 1:10 is a good ratio. Make sure the roos have enough space from each other and you should be good to go. Don't be surprised if you get more than just 2 roos as sexing is only 90 percent accurate.

Yeah I thought about that and any extra roos beyond the two that I want already have names...dumplin, fried, parmagiana, etc.
Thanks silkie.
