Rats digging under coop

Dang, you folks with rats are lucky.

Nothing more fun than exterminating rats.....a worthy foe.

Those New Zealand rats make big targets. Wish we had some that big here in Kentucky. It'd be hard to miss those. My kill percentage would go way up.

We have a couple around our chicken coop. I'm waiting for them to multiply. Then......let the fun begin

The way my girls kick the food around - I'd have to clean out the entire coop every day... thats probably NOT gonna happen

I was totally not joking. My chickens are important to me and i would NEVER use poison anywhere near them. I take good care of my pets and i dont want to risk using rat poison, or kill traps as i have dogs the would try to get the bait too. Sorry if i am too resposible for you

There are enough nice people on here to cancel 'that' out.
Your post is a good example

Shot 3 tonight, killed one.

Bought an air rifle, a .177 Got out the tape measure and measured from the food bowl and my shooting place. Measured it out in the garage, 7.5m, and set the sights on the air rifle.

So the three that got hit got bum stingers or just a fright. The one that was killed was hit behind the head, on his neck.

He measured 400mm from nose to tail (end to end)

The son has my USB cable so I can't download the picture of my first kill.

Hey edster951

Good shooting!

Pellet rifles are quite handy. I have two. A .20 sheridan silver streak with a peep sight and a .22 beeman R1 with a scope.

I am presently having the same problem. They are nesting under my nesting box. I am gonna get a frog gig. I already have a bright flashlight.

Well I guess if you'll tell me where to drop off the rodents and such you can be responsible for them. Or do you only pass 'em on to your neighbors.
