Here in Norther Ca. we are have our first warm days of summer. This is the time when rattle snakes come out looking for a meal. Just be careful around any wood pile or tall grass.

Good reminder for the southeast, too. We also find a lot of copperheads starting now. I don't mind the non-venomous yellow rat snakes, but the venomous snakes get killed.

Ooooo.... don't tell anyone where you are. It is illegal to kill a copperhead-so we found out here. As a matter of fact, it's illegal to kill any snake in Missouri.

Good thing it's not illegal here-they'd have to throw me UNDER the jail.

If it slithers-it dies here on our place.

Down here we hunt sidewinders and diamondbacks for fun. Lol. And by the way they are actually tasty as well. Hahahaha

Are you sure your information is accurate?

They'll have to get out the cuffs then. One of my dogs was bitten by a copperhead year before last, and I almost got it last year, over 4' long and in a bad mood. Missed my leg by about nothing, I posted a pic on BYC of my bloody sock. I am in South Carolina, I am fairly certain it's okay to kill them here, but I will check.

Thanks.

I've had rattlesnake chili at Chilympiad in San Marcos, TX. Bleh. Kinda chewy.

Gotta eat them piping hot. If u let em get at all cold they get chewy as rubber. Lol. The best is in a stew lol.
