Here we don't have any ready-made / commercial feed available.
I have 3 khaki campbells and 4 white leghorns, all 4 days old. Till now I have only given them hard boiled egg (finely chopped) and water.

! Pleased you joined our community! I guess chickens have survived in the wilds since the beginning with out commercial feed. I suppose if they have adequate forage they will be okay. Best wishes and thanks for joining BYC!

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

This will work for a while, but you might try and find some fortified bird food of some sort? Even order on line?

Good luck with your brood and welcome to our flock!

Welcome!

Sorry that I am not really able to help you. I am lucky enough to have commercial feed readily available and therefore, not sure how to manage when it is not.

I hope you are able to figure out a diet that is balanced for them and easily available for you.

I also hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

Thankyou all for your wishes, although I didn't get what I wanted.
I'm thinking of feeding them greens from the 8th or 10th day, and grain from the 15th day.
I have 3 adults (in a separate area) and they eat everything.
Any advice on chicks?
