Rcom Suro King Incubator official thread ***HIGH ALERT***see post 93

Ive been following this thread in a lurky manor and thank goodness. I have been debating to buy this incubator as it had been deemed the be all that ends all incubators but Lovinmypeeps-my sharkie buddy) just reported hers is on the way back to the manufacturer as we speak-she lost her whole expensive hatch just like you:-(

Im so sorry for that-but so greatful I didnt buy it based on what you guys have been saying today! thanking for saving me!

I am so sorry to hear this. I was just at Lyon's yesterday. I had a turner that did not work properly and took it over there since I was in the area. It ended up being defective w/ many things wrong with it. They exchanged it for me immediately. The ladies there were so nice. I have owned the Turn X and Roll X's for decades and I am not that thrilled with the space and wanted something bigger as a hatcher. I think it was Maggie that suggested the R-Com and I had not heard much about the company and all of the digital stuff was a clue to me to stay away. I believe simple is best. I told her I would figure something else out.

I hope they resolve it for everyone. 6 month warranty is outrageous to me. They know there is a problem and not backing their product w/ 6 months. Yikes.

Looks like I better get off my butt and get mine in the mail.

I checked out the Dickey incubator website this AM....looks like a really nice product---they even show the guy who hand makes them

plus, they're only 4 hours from my house, so I can drive down to get it.

Now~~~how to talk my husband into another Christmas gift...

well, I'm already past the six months from purchase...oops...So I'm setting the eggs and going to just give it my best shot. Heck, I hear co-workers blow more money in beer and cigarettes each month than I paid for this thing. So I'll just have to count it as a learning experience. Truly sad how the working poor like me get so easily preyed on...being lured by advertising...

You return that one and then apply the $375 toward the Dickie.

I am officially batorless-I sold my new one wth turner yesterday to a friend I got totally hooked on chickens! I had two terrible hatches in it and gave up! hova bator with fan and turner-thats the 3rd incubator Ive been through in a year! none have been good to me. My broodies have been great-The suro was supposed to be "The one" Im sorry about all your eggies-I havent gotten any eggs from those girls in a while:-( They are all broody sitting on tester eggs of BLRW-splits silkies-and OE's ... My DH wouldn't say a word if I bought the dickey -I handle the bills and if I bought it he would think we could afford it! We can't at the moment with Xmas so close-so I wont be selfish-guess Ill keep saving my egg $ and watch how you guys do with the new bators to see which one turns out to be the best?? I hope you get it for Xmas:)

Are you getting One Judy??? Will you start a new thread on it if you do??
