Hi Shella,

You really have had a bad run with the RCom's

I was the person that had the faulty turner as well with the RCom 3 so I sent it back and put the refund towards a standard RCom 20 which I have to say is running perfectly, absolutely spot on with temp/humidity lets hope the good luck continues

I think their advertising must be great because when I was at Lyon's yesterday, I saw quite a few in the warehouse ready to be shipped.

Wow, I'm so sorry to see the many responses to this forum talking of troubles people are having with King Suro 20's.

I've had two wonderful hatching seasons with mine and bought a second this spring for a brooder and they've ran like champs hatching ducks and chickens one load after the next. At first I did have to figure out the proper temp and humidity settings using my accurate readers. Each one is a little different on the accuracy of temp but nearly spot on with the humidity settings. I adjusted accordingly and have had great success.

It's not just the fact of being suckered in to buying a poor product....it's the Loss of the first eggs from my Lav split pullet....it's the Loss of $150 worth of bought eggs (that seldom come up for auction)....it's the fact that I no longer have a bator to put the dozen of eggs in that are waiting to be incubated......it's the loss in general of my own Silkie eggs---because we all know Silkies are unpredictable layers....it's the fact that my breeding program has been set back

I'm sure the manufacturer could care less about these additional losses, but they're REAL to me and I'd just like to

them and make them compensate me for these other losses

um.... The Brinsea Incubators have been getting positive posts lately. Have you guys tried them?
Sorry yal are having such a bad experience. Hope you can find bator love with a much better brand again.

Many Hugs

I do think the Brinsea's are probably better machines. However, with the price of them you can purchase a very nice cabinet incubator. It's not about how many eggs I can hatch at a time...it's how reliable the incubator is.

I've decided on the Dickey 2X2. I've researched the Dickies and haven't seen anything to make me change my mind yet.

Hmmm I wont be ruling out my Suro20 just yet

but if the hygrometer/thermo' device (which I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail) shows readings that are totally 'way-out,' then I will have no course but to consider buying one of these brinsea type incubators or do another research on whatever incubator is available (and considered the best) in my country.

I hate to think that the money I've scrimped so hard for, having sacrifices many things to raise the money for, ended up being spent on a bad product or a good product with parts that doesn't work well after a bit of use!

It'll be a bit harder trying to raise money again, the second time round!

cabinet style incubators are certainly nice, but I enjoy watching the eggs hatch. So that is one of the reasons I went with the Suro. Plus it was plenty cheaper than the Brinsea. Came home tonight and the temp seems to be holding pretty good. The humidity spiked early on but it's back down to 44%. Now what about the air inlet...I saw in the directions to have it open for the hatch, but do you close completely the rest of the time? I'm curious what others are doing with the ventilation.
